Abstract

The paper analyses the qualities, social determinants as well as behavioral perceptions of consumers on hybrid cars using the Diffusion of Innovation Model by Rogers. The systematic survey of 104 people is effective in relation to the socioeconomic, environmental, and technological factors affecting the consumer adoption. The article discusses the qualities, social determinants, and behavioral perceptions of the consumers towards the hybrid cars based on the Diffusion of Innovation Model by Rogers. The systematic survey of 104 people is helpful as far as the socioeconomic, environmental, and technological aspects affecting the consumer acceptance. It is hoped that the findings will provide the policy-makers and the marketers with the information on the strategies that should be implemented to overcome these barriers, raise the population awareness, and encourage the adoption of energy-efficient cars on a large scale in Pakistan, therefore, leading to the realization of sustainable urban mobility and climate sustainability.
